    1) I'm new to mountain bikes but it would appear that this was a steal or was stolen).

    2) I went riding Saturday with regular pedals and of course didn't fall for once but I can see where
    there are many places where clip-in pedals are an advantage. What pedals does everyone
    like/dislike for MTB use?

    Probably genuine but it could be a scam, there have been a few fraudulent auctions for bikes on
    ebay lately.
