I see that Colorado Cyclist is selling the Ultegra 6600 10-Speed Chain for $27.99. Also the web site is claiming that you need to install with a Shimano Chain tool though I would like to use the Wipperman link to hold it together.
Will this setup work well? I have heard that Shimano10 speed chains work well with Campy 10 drive trains (cassette will be Veloce 10)

Campy has changed their 10-speed chain width spec to roughly that of Shimano. Feel free to mix and match. Make sure you're using the Shimano-spaced Wipperman link, although some have reported using the 6.2mm Campy-spaced link and surviving.

I'm using a Wipperman chain with my 10sp Chorus rig now and have an IRD in waiting. I'm not a big Shimano chain fan. Either way what ever you use I agree with the other reply, use the Wipperman link.

It will and use the 6.05 wipperman link, that'll be fine as well. ALL 10s chains are now 5.9mm, all inter-work with each other, shimano, Sram, Campagnolo, Wipperman, KMC, etc.

I would stay with the Campy chain since a Veloce chain is only $32.50 online - delivered. Also, I have found that the Campy chains last longer than the Shimano chains.
