I have an old TREK 1000 that I have been riding since the late 80's. I ride about 25 miles 3 times a week. I also participate in sprint triathalons. I was thinking about getting a new bike but have an opportunity to buy a 1995 Trek 2300 for $800. It is Epoxy bonded Aluminum Alloy forks & Carbon Fiber frame. All components are Shimano 600 Integra and this bike has very low miles. It looks brand new. The pump, handle bars, Lock Pedals, seat pouch are also included. Is this a good buy or should I go for a new bike in the $1000 range. Any help would be appreciated!

I just sold my circa 1990 Trek 2300 to a guy for $200 shipped!! and it was in very good shape with 8 speed Ultegra STI on it.

For $800-go new for sure!!
