    What???

No Dr Frank Day on the 40% gain in power from using an Independent Crankset system???

    or

Prof Sickenin Vendet on "train like the Pros because if it works for them it must work for you"???

Sounds good, sign me up! Bet your list of speakers all know who Ed Coyle is and if involved in coaching have a healthy respect for the progress of New Zealand cycling on the world stage over the last four years.

    Ed Coyle?.

Unfortunately he can't turn you into Lance Armstrong. Training via his methods can't turn you into Lance Armstrong neither. Its unfortunate, but thats how it goes.

Ed. Can you please tell me how to pedal a bike please?, lol.

Ed Coyle has a training method?

Why ask Ed? Sure the next Bicycling Mag will have an in depth, unbiased report on how the Pro of the Month pedals, trains, weight lifts, waxes his legs that will help us coaches to train our riders:rolleyes:

Could be why your stuck in the ice ages.

If New Zealand don't do anything special at the upcoming World Track championships, I think its about high time you need to start looking past your nose & opening up your mind.

Ha ha the personal trainer thinks all you have to do to become World TT Champ is deadlift 200kg. I train some women who can lift that. Why are they not World Champions. Like I am stronger than Chris Boardman but can not hold his pace over 60min for longer than 96sec. Why Prof Vendett??? WHY!!!

You don't have the endurance, VO2, Mental toughness.

“Strength endurance is characterized by a combination of great strength and significant endurance”.

Bradley Wiggins doesn't have the strength to match Cancellara (Quite evident).

I have enough strength to hold Cancellara's TT power or Wiggins 2 X Olympic Pursuit Champ power and more power than Chris Boardman.

And as mentioned in terms of strength it's the ability to leg press 18kg for an hour. If you think that is strong then I suspect your definition may but as out of whack as your definition of strength endurance.

Yeah but only for very short periods of time as illustrated in my Kilo and Pursuit example where after 2-3 sec of a Kilo there was a drop off from peak power during the ride and in that rider's example the peak power was a good 150 watts below his max power.

Irrelevant. Strength has no role in cycling. Boardman is as weak as a kitten yet still holds two World Records since 1996.

Yup I have a peak power of 1330 watts. What do you think Cancellara's ave power was at World's?

Again you are showing you don't really understand cycling especially if you hold the meathead personal trainer mentality that more strength = more submaximal power.

What is it you think you will do to change things at Bike NZ to improve on their successful 2009?

Gosh you are Michael Jackson. Two Words: Seek Help! I think your addiction to little boys is going to have fatal consequences. Also when your doctor gives you advice or prescriptions ask for a 2nd opinion!

How much strength would be required to output 500 watts?

Not as much as it takes to hit 1330 watts. In terms of a leg press about 18kg. Real strong aye.

Don't they teach you how to operate a calculator in those 12 week personal trainer courses?

6000. That is 6% of my 1RM. Golly guess I better hit those weights:rolleyes:
