    Hi all,

I needed to replace the chainset on my East Peak so got a shimano square taper to replace the original part.

However, the drive side spindle side seems too short to accomdate the shimano chainset as it locks against the frame when tightened.

Has anyone replaced their Marin stuff for Shimano on this model and knows what length of BB spindle I need ? The current spindle length is 115mm.

    Thanks

    MR I

whats the part code on the crank (FC-M??? or TX etc...) or what model is it (altus, alivio, etc) and what year? and do you have an e-type front derailleur or not? (http://www.pricepoint.com/images/styleImages/D_105 SHITE4.jpg)

BB spindle lengths vary on different models of crank and they have to be right or in your case the crank wont go on at all or the chainline will be off.
