2003 Trek Fuel 90 vs. 2003 KHS FR2000 w/upgrades

I just sold my '95 Barracuda Team XX hardtail after riding it for 15 years. I rode my sons 2010 Trek EX 8 and that's what convinced me. I am looking at either getting a 03 Trek Fuel 90 in very good condition (all original- Fox Float R, Rock Shox Duke XC, LX,XT mix) or a 03 KHS FR2000 with upgrades (Fox Float AVA('08), Marzocchi all mountain 3 air fork('05), avid juicy 5 brakes,fsa gravity gap cranks and sram x7 shifters.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Both of them are around $600.00.
