About that, but unusual circumstances you might say. Sure won't see those sort of relative gains from here on!!

Some perspective. Almost exactly three years ago (8 Aug 06) I did the very same test and my average was 278W. Previous tests on same circuit:

Pre-accident:
8 Aug 06: 278W
13 Sep 06: 315W
1 Nov 06: 324W
5 Dec 06: 326W

Post accident:
23 Sep 08: 248W
16 Dec 08: 287W
18 Aug 09: 299W

Sure it is true that you won't see such relative gains anymore but it - even that you yourself might point that the return to within few percents of your previous best from a physiological point of view is logical - still doesn't make it less unbelievable and amazing!

Yeah, well maybe I needed a bit more than a cup of tea and half a bowl of cornflakes for brekky and two jelly snakes beforehand. :)

1st half (294W) was 10W less than 2nd half (304W).

BTW, my CTL that day was 69 TSS/day and my TSB was -31.

MAP test tomorrow. This will be interesting. I am hoping for 400W+ but by rights, I shouldn't get that high (it's possible but would be atypical). MAP usually needs a bit more freshness than TT tests.

You could always try my 'breakfast of champions'. "Weapons grade" strength coffee and porridge with some strawberry jam followed by a banana.

For extra motivation consider a cattle prod. :p

All this 'scientific stuff' going on and you fuel up with Jelly Snakes. :D

410W
:D

I don't mind being atypical at times.

That, by the way, is an all time PB (pre- and post-accident).

My first A race of the year and l cramped "bad" in the last ~30min so there is more in the tank, plus l'm not yet at my fighting weight of 63-65kg which l usually don't hit until late November so that will bring me to the magic number 5 that l have been chasing for 2 years, so now the new goal is 5.2w/kg.
And l'll get there l have no doubts what so ever

Get that fitness in while you can. When you visit America I'm sure you'll be fed too much good food and beer. :p You'll go home weighing 6kg more :D

Yeah, there's plenty of good food in America - Mexican, Chinese, and Italian... And of course, there's Foster's. :)

You know of course that it's practically impossible to find Fosters in Australia.

Really? LOL. What about Castlemaine XXXX? That used to be touted as an Aussie beer back in England. Personally, after drinking a can I imagined Koala p1ss would taste about the same...

XXXX is more common but mostly in Queensland where it originated.

Marsuipial urine is extremely concentrated, not something you can associate with Fosters or XXXX. More like cat's ****.
