Igor Anton's bringing good form to this race. Evans could do very well with his (ineffectual) experience and performance for himself. Valverde knows how to do it. Short(er) course will suite Schlecks (as we've seen in Amstel) and Cunego.
This one is usually decided on the final ascent to Mur, so the one who times his attack perfectly will take it.

Fleche Wallone is a good example of a race made by the riders not the route. It's less than 200km long, has only 10 climbs, total of 1000 meters climbing. Muur isn't *that* hard. So it's up to a team or a few riders to make the race tough. I'm going to go for Nibali to win this one after Kreuziger weakens the field with a longer attack.

WOW.. Cadel Evans is a changed man with those World Champion stripes on his back.. i've been a big critic of him but if you can come around Contador.. VERY NICE WIN DUDE!

Evans learned some thing from last time.. patients is the name of the game on the Mur de Huy..

Did not see that coming. Evans starting to show some real pedigree as a one day racer, the worlds and now this. Maybe he should concentrate on winning a few more one day races and forget about the TdF? Or race the TdF like he races one day races.

Good win, but like Contador, Evans needs to work on his victory salute!

Evans learnt his lesson from last year (I think), he did reconnaissance and knew how much of the road he has on disposal, unlike last year when he left out of road. Contador misjudged the measure of his attack.
This climb is simply fantastic. It always tricks riders. It tricks viewers too. I bet lots of people thought Contador will take it, but at the end he was caught by Rodriguez too. It's secret is in very steep section over 20%, where riders think: "Just to overcome this and then I'll accelerate, the finish is near." But it stays steep. Not 20+%, but steep enough to stuck them in their wrong gear. On the other hand too low gears will leave you out of road... You'll need extra 10 - 20 meters to pass the winner.
Gilbert surprised me. This isn't exactly his cup of tea and he finished sixth in front of Valverde and Schleck. He'll be very dangerous in Liege.
Hesjedal deserves compliments. His performance in last two races was impressive.
