This is the stage I have been waiting for. Nice profile in this one. A friend of mine who I trian with is going to ride the stage and match his time against the pros. He may have already ridden it last week, I am not sure. It will be interesting to see the difference in his time against the pros.I can then add a couple of hours and get my average.:D
This stage should reval if Cancellara can stay close enough to win again this year.

thinking that this stage will wither fabu. f. schleck should put his bid in for g.c. lead here.

I figure most of the big guns are just training for the TDF and if Canc. can just stay close he can kill most everyone in the ITT. He can't win anything more than some stages in the TDF. I just don't see him ever winning a 3 week race but he can go all out if he needs to now.

Well, looks to me like all the right people are hitting form at just the right time. Between the results of the Dauphine and the Tour de Suisse I'd say the TdF is going to be very interesting.

I have to agree. With the exception of Menchov, the riders who are aiming the Tour are looking pretty good heading into July.

Mark Cavendish is another rider who is not performing at his usual June/July standard.

Very true. I was just thinking about GC men, but Cav has looked very average (comparing his acomplishments over the past few years to the 2010 season before the Tour). Perhaps the lack of Mark Renshaw has taken a hit on his confidence and HTC's ability to deliver him to the finish line.
