They're now done and dusted.

Michal Kwiatkowski's road race win was very impressive. He took a gamble on the last climb to breakaway from a group containing Gilbert, Gerrans, Boonen, Valverde and he timed it too perfection.
Kwiatkowski has had a superb season and this win was well deserved for the 24 year old.

Gerrans put in a great sprint to win silver against Valverde who had to settle for bronze (again).
Gerrans was disappointed but he rode a good race and just miscalculated the breakaway.

Wiggo's Time Trial win over a field including Tony Martin throws the cat among the SKY pidgeons.

The womens raod race was a real mess.
Armistead was furious at the lack of help to chase the breakaway. Herself and Vos marked each other throughout but failed to react fast enough and the sprint finish saw Ferrand-Prevot win.

chapeau to kwiatkowski. cannot write he is a stranger to the podium, but have to admit that this win makes me wonder if he shouldn't merit a higher position on his team come the grand tours in the coming years.

and wiggo is a puzzler. nice palmare to his career. good way to end his road career and make his transition back to the track without regrets?
