Forgive me if this has been discused before. I just came to my senses and set up my Rans V-Rex after having abandoned bents for uprights for several years. Back-to-back 1,200 km randionees this summer gave me such pain I wonder why I ever left. I see a move to taller bents since I last rode. My V-Rex is so old it has a 700c rear wheel. I'm thinking about putting a 26" fork to replace the stock 20", just to see how it feels. I know the BB will be 3" higher, but I don't know if the frame geometry would allow this to work. Has anyone else tried anything similar? Any advantages or disadvantages? I do long brevet and randonnee riding as well as daily commuting in the city.

I own a Catrike with 20" wheels.

I replaced them with 24".

Bike ride is smoother over road imperfections, top speed higher, turning radius reduced but neglible.

Cats just don't feel safe on a moving bicycle, no matter how much duct tape you use.
