30 Day Service

If they are too wide,thay are too wide.Another 30 days won't make them narrower. The 30 day free service is to make minor adjustments to components after they setle is with some use. They know what to look for and adjust.

I am sorry. Maybe I was not clear. I replaced my handlebars the first time I brought the bike in for service. My main question is - Have the components settled in after 500 miles of riding or should I wait and put some more miles on the bike? Also, I would like to make sure the shop checks and does what the should at this service.

My LBS wanted me to get at least 500 miles on the bike before I brought it back for its "30-day." But they also were quick to tell me that if there was anything that needed attention sooner to bring it on in. So at this point, it sounds like you have done both and are ready for them to give your bike the once over.

When I took mine in, they did the work while I waited and pretty much talked me through what they were finding and what they were doing. It was also good that I was there because the mechanic was asking me questions as he was looking the bike over. There were a couple of things that I didn't even know to look for, but once he started asking me a few "has this been happening to you any" questions it became apparent that the adjustments were a good idea. It was pretty easy to get comfortable that they had covered everything.
