Try to nail down final details of specs for a sport touring bike.

Anyone care to give an opinion if this will work?

TA Zephyr crank 46-34 (Already own.) Mavic 601 MR Shimano splined hub. (Already own.) XT 12-34
Cassette Campy 10 medium cage rear derailure. (Already own.)

Would a XT 11-34 fit on the MR 601 hub ok? May use that to get a 100 inch ratio.

As we know the Shimano 9 cassettes shift with Campy 10 ergo, the question may boil down to the
functional capacity of medium cage derailure.

Thanks.

Think it will be fine, may need to remove one link from the chain to prevent pulley, largest cog
interference, even with the 'b limit' all the way in...

It will work. If you were buying again, I'd recommend the 3x10 Campy long cage models. For the front
shifter, I recently found that a Shimano 105 shifts the 48/34 smoother than a 10 sp Campy. you don't
have to grind anything.
