Still haven't bought my bike yet which was gonna be the Chainreaction
Briza going for £280 with Shimao Sora mechs since I've been tempted by
ebay - still lol. I was eyeing up the following 5 year old, 1300 miles
FAUSTO COPPI – TORINO which eventually went for £255. To me, I thought
it would be worth 150-200 so was I wrong leaving it alone?

Many thanks for looking at my auction today.

Up for grabs today is my fantastic :
FAUSTO COPPI – TORINO
56 CM Racing cycle.
Specification as follows :

Blue / White paint work on the frame with Black forks.

Vuelta Stylus Corsa - black wheels / rims – these run true and the
spokes are in great condition.

Quando hubs.

700 x 23 Schwalbe Blizzard Sport tyres ( a little bit perished but a
good few miles left in them !!)

Selle Italia Gel saddle

ITM seat post

BBB rear cassette 12 / 39

Efmega front cranks 39 / 53

Sram quick release chain

Shimano Sora rear & front mech

ITM super Europa Ergo handlebars and stem

Reparto corse 70005 Aluminium frame
Alhonga dual pivot brakes (front and rear)

This bike is in fantastic condition, has covered 1300 miles from new
and would be an ideal entry level bike or training bike.

The finish is superb, has great detail and Italian flair to it !!

It is fabulous to ride, is very responsive and very easy to ride

There is only some very slight damage to the frame. There is a small
chip on the drive train side chain stay - I've taken a photo to show
this – apart from this , there is only cable rub "damage" to the frame
– which is only to be expected !

This bike has done 1300 miles approx and has only got wet twice
( both times , dried off & lubed immediately!! )

It has not been crashed and has been lovingly cared for since new (for
the past 5 years or so) – the only new parts are the chain and rear
cassette plus the saddle ( the original saddle was not as comfortable
as this one is !!)

I am very reluctant to sell this but I can’t justify having 3 road
bikes in my garage!!

I have put a reserve on this as I believe that the bike is worth this
price , bearing in mind it's in excellent condition considering its'
age and mileage .

Please be aware that the pedals are not included in the sale –
although the computer is !!

If you want to call round to inspect the bike prior to bidding , feel
free to email me and I will let you have my phone number and / or
directions .

Sorry ,but I would rather not post this item out , as I would not like
it to get damaged in transit !!

Many thanks for looking & Happy bidding !!

I think the Torino sold for about £400 new, and £255 is 25% off the no-
VAT price. That's probably a fair price if you've decided that you want
that particular bike, but you don't know how much higher the price would
have gone if you'd made a bid ...
