  1. Requested: 7up Cake
    From: beverly
anyone have a recipe for 7up cake my husdand aunt always made it& now i
    want to
and cant get just the right taste it seemed to have a slight lemony taste
    with a
sweet &lemony flavored frosting poured over it it made like a crust please
    i need
to make from a box this time next time ill try from scratch

    7-Up Cake

6 lg eggs -- lightly beaten
    3 cup granulated sugar
    3 cup All-purpose flour
    1 lb butter -- softened
    2 Tbsp Lemon extract
    3/4 cup 7-upA

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Add beaten
eggs a little at a time blending well after each addition. Alternate
flour and 7-Up. Blend well after each addition. Add extract. Bake at 325
for 2 hr. 15 minutes of till toothpick come out clean.

NOTES: There is no salt or baking powder in this recipe.

*My recipe does not call for frosting but you could easily make a glaze of
powdered sugar, milk, and lemon extract.
