Bogg for Africa

Cobb, CA, 3/25/2006 - Bike Monkey will hold its first ever cross-country event at Boggs Mountain on Saturday, March 25th, 2006 in support of Food for the Hungry and their ongoing AIDS relief effort in Africa.

Registering riders and sponsor interests can find more information and register at our web site: www.BikeMonkey.Net. The event will be held at the Boggs Mountain State Demonstration Forest near Cobb, CA, and will consist of a cross-country mountain bike course of approximately 11 miles. Registration will include t-shirts and dinner for all riders.

Prizes will be awarded for top finishers in each of four (4) categories comprised of: Solo, 3-Person Co-Ed, 3-Person Female, and 3-Person Male. Exciting awards will be given to the top fundraisers in each of two groups: Solo, and 3-Person (regardless of sex category).

Pledge forms can be printed from our website (indicated in this release). Funds will be collected and presented on the day of the event. Teams and individuals whose funds are not delivered on race-day will not be eligible for fundraising awards.

The event will be followed by an outdoor community dinner for riders and participants and is included as part of the registration fee.
