8 speed campag hub w/ 10 speed cassette?

As per title, if I was to forgoe the 11 up on my 11-23, do you think I'd get the 10 speed cassette on a pair of old 8 speed shamals to work??? May need a bit of reindexing but otherwise would probably work as far as I can see. What do ya think?

Cog spline pattern is different.
