Hi there, may i have some ideas on will a 8 speed shifter works on a 7 speed freewheel? Should I
skip the 1st one or the last one on installing the shifter? Thanks, Eric

    should help.

will let you know if you are dealing with a spacing issue depending upon brand... in the spacing chart.
Start with the 4 adjustments in order per the first reference.
You will likely end up skipping the last position.

Last one, have it shift 6 of the 7 clicks, then use the rear der limit screw to 'lockout' the
    last click.
