The chain is almost new. No wear indicated with my chain wear gauge. Thanks for the ideas. I guess the move to the 170 brought all of this on. I have a new rear derailleur on the way and will start there. Thanks.gclark8 said:OK, check the chain for wear with a gauge and inspect the cassette also. Consider a 13-23 or 13-25 cassette, that will force the cadence up too. I had almost never used my 12 and only occasionally the 25 so replaced it with a 13-23, now no more 16t & 18t gaps.
