Yep. I'm joining Goat and Jaco for a route ride on Sunday.

Give me the details. My training partner and I are also thinking of doing the route.

Hmm, this is looking large, what speed you guys thinking of doing this at? if its slow enough (snails fly past me on downhills currently) I wouldn't mind joining as well.

p.s. did I mention these snails were in the basket of some little old frenchman cycling home to his supper? so I'm not that slow

25 - 28 km/h. (or pace of the slowest rider, within reason, of course)

Date
Sunday 9 November

Location
Pineslopes Centre (opposite Monte Casino)

Start time
06h15 for 06h30

Route
Entire route except the highway section (M1)
Also drove past that groove thing yesterday - nasty piece of work! Does anyone know of similar things?

As far as the bunch goes, there will probably be more than one ride captain that heads up differt bunches at different speeds - anyway, I hope thats the case otherwise I'll probably end up by myself ;D
Ja, ja Jaco..coming from someone that rode a sub3 Amashova. Stop sandbagging, Jaco ;D

Yeah Jaco, stop sandbagging.

My legs are hurting today just from those laps I rode with you.

Some very nasty potholes in the section of Beyers Naude by the roadworks opposite the squatter camp. Maybe they'll fix them before the Day. ???

Hiya all,

My aim for Sunday is to finish and have a lekker time. My training has only been base training. I plan on stopping at the Bar-one waterpoint and totally pigging out on Bar Ones, stopping and getting a rub down from the physio's. Chatting to the spectators... All the things I've missed in the last three years 'cause i been head down, pedalling like crazy.

Good luck to everyone, keep an eye out for me, I'll be riding a new Trek 4300 MTB, wearing a red and grey shirt and cheering everyone that passes me on.

Remember the sunscreen!

Okay guys, the only place I reckon you can put your nick name is on the left side of the number. Write it so that it reads from bottom to top.

See you all on the road and good luck.
