9sp Chain Skating on 8sp Chainrings?

I've heard this before, but don't know if there are solutions.
Occasionally when I shift down to the small ring, the inner side
plates will skate on the inner ring. Sometimes I have to use my right
foot to kick the chain over or else it seems to not want to make the
move.

FWIW, this is DA 7410 crank/rings and Campagnolo 9sp chain.

Any solutions?

Thanks,

Hopefully using 9s shifters for s 9s cogset. Replace the inner ring with a 7700
one, a wee bit closer to the big ring.
