A curse on British Eurosport

It's the final stage of the Giro. So what do Eurosport do? They eat into the
broadcast time for the Giro by showing *bloody Tim Henman*

I have cursed Eurosport. There will be an effigy, there will be chants,
nekkid round the willow tree.

Whoever took the decision to have a tennis match, not even a final, eat into
the broadcast time of the final stage of a major tour will be finding their
nether regions infected with something itchy and fungal that does not
respond to treatment.

I am not a happy bunny.

BAH!

No it's not. I don't get those. Just British Eurosport and that channel
treats its cycling audience with ever increasing contempt.

"Come on, Tim!"

That wasn't a tennis match, that was a classic of British
self-deprecating humour. We pretend to be excited by a has-been no-hoper
simply because He Is An English Man. The fact that he's also useless and
talentless, and plays a game which has had all the elegance it may ever
have had knocked out of it with too much technology, simply adds to the
elegance of the joke.

"Come on, Tim!"

So what if a greasy pasta-eating Eytie was winning some sort of minor
contest on a mechanical gizmo in Milan at the same time? It is a far-off
place of which we know little. These Eyties aren't even manly - imagine
wearing a /pink/ jersey for heaven's sake! Such abominable sports should
not be allowed to disgrace the screens of the BRITONs' televisions.

"Come on, Tim!"

Eurosport always gives tennis priority over cycling at weekends, even on
TdF final stage day. I don't want to watch Tim Chickenboy either.

Too darned right.. sigh.. Still The Curse Of The Simmons is upon British
Eurosport. They'll regret it ;-)

We persevered with Eurosport till the end of the first week, the we caved in
and got the Satellite man to install Hotbird.

Clearly the events in Spain have worried them - for today.

I went for the option of watching the highlights at 9:00 on Eurosport2,
recorded when necessary. And when it was actually on at 9:00, rather
than whenever-the-tennis-finishes.

oops sorry I didn't mean it's alright for some - I just meant there was
not a lot going on - and just after I sent my post he did say welcome to
British Eurosport viewers so if you had seen the earlier stages you
didn't miss too much
Although "After one lap in Milano, Quick.Step's Davide Bramati went
ahead of the gruppo with 48km to go. It was Bramati's last race in a 16
year career. After the Giro d'Italia, Bramati would become a direttore
sportivo with Quick.Step. The 37 year-old Brama, who had been a key
gregario for riders like Pavel Tonkov, Johan Museeuw, Tony Rominger,
Paolo Bettini and Tom Boonen among others, cruised just ahead of the
gruppo as all the riders gave him a well-earned standing ovation to one
of the most experienced and respected riders in the sport of cycling."
was a particularly nice few moments.
I must say though that Hotbird is a much better option than $$ky.

Could we have a whip round and get her a bonzai willow? She could do it in
the kitchen then..

Thinking this kitchen thing is perhaps going too far.
