A QR Caliente as a road bike

Hi everyone, I've been riding a trek 1200(alu) but I would like to improve my riding machine a bit. As a 2nd place in junior TT at the national champs in my country, I think that maybe a QR(quintanaroo) Caliente would fit me as a road carbon bike(just put a drop bar and change the fit) and as a TT bike too. What do you think? It's possible, and if so, which are the pros and cons?
