  1. Just Reading McRobert's Beyond Brawn, and he is saying that you shouldn't
    exercise the same muscle groupings, in the same way, more than once a week
    if you want to follow an abbreviated programme.

    So, for example, if you bench on monday, don't do the overhead press on
    thursday, because this is an overuse of the body's shoulder push mechanism.

    Whilst I can see that to squat heavily with any great frequency might be
    tough, I would have thought that movements like dips and bench press could
    be done a little more often. After a heavy squatting session, I feel quite
    badly wiped out for quite a while, but it doesn't take me half as long to
    get over most of the others. What do you think? Surely if I only do a
    pressing movement once a week, I'm holding myself back a little? I
    understand that the whole point of abbreviated training is to reduce
    frequency, but isn't this taking it too far?

    Oh, and I definitely fit into McRobert's genetically typical drug free hard
    gainer target audience.
