absolutely the worst driver justification

Andy-
Lighten up a little, Andy. We are not "the bastards of the road". The
bad, rude, impatient drivers you're complaining about are just as bad,
rude, and impatient when the other traffic consists solely of other
motor vehicles. The only difference is the other drivers don't hear the
comments and excuses cyclists hear because of the fleeting nature of
motorist-to-motorist contact. It's a little hard for them to scream
loudly enough to be heard by the driver they just cut off when that
driver is now half a city block away.

I agree with you, amkyonin.

Washington State law is specific -- you can be to as far to the left as is
practicable on one way streets. This is preferable on streets with a lot of
bus traffic (buses pulling in and out of stops) and those with a lot of
right turns. My personal preference in this situation is to be in the right
wheel well position of the #1 lane. That way you can get around left-turning
cars with ease.
