Access to The Nab (Far Eastern Fells)

What I can remember from my walk, is, from the wall on the shoulder with
Rest Dodd, there's a horrible bog that prevents anyone walking centrally on
the ridge for the first 1/2 kilometre. There was lots of foot prints on the
Nabs eastern side as everyone must have tried to avoid the middle.

I was awhere of the dear sanctuary - but there wasn't any on when I walked
on it.

The Estate must have known that thousands of walkers will visit the summit
every year as it's a Wainwright, so was little point in them trying to stop
walkers going to it.

It has been "officially" opened up, with access along the ridge, under the
Right to Roam scheme. The lower slopes are still out of bounds, being
classed as farmland. The fact that there was unofficial access along the
ridge had been acknowledged by the estate for many years.
