  1. Hi guys,

Does anyone have a good set of instructions for tuning front and rear
derailers ? I can get either front or back working almost perfectly, but
adjusting one seems to throw the other out of alignment all the time.

Both front and back and shimano deraillers with indexed ez-fire shifters (21
speed, 3 front cogs and 7 rear)

How much slack should the front cable have ? If I put it in the lowest gear
and take all the tension off the adjustment screw on the gear lever it gives
me like an inch of slack ! (wondering if maybe I need to pull it tigher at
the derailler end where the cable attaches)

I always seem to have the chain rubbing in either the highest or lowest gear
(depending how I adjust it). Which gear should it be in while adjusting ?

    Chris
