Hi, I want to buy a cyclocross bike. Being relatively new its a bit of a minefield. I've got about a grand to spend and looking around Kona Jake the Snake, Felt FIX, Ridley and Scott seem to get a lot of press.
Apart from weekly run of about 20 miles on and off road (gravel tracks) I want to do some charity runs (London/Cambridge etc).
Can someone recommend something please

I just started racing cross this season after a few years of mtb racing and 7 seasons of road racing. I picked up a barely used Redline Conquest Pro for $400 usd. Check around. Lots of people buy cross bikes and then hardly use them and are willing to part with them for cheap cash.
