I need some advice on which clip on aero bar clamp size I need for my handlebar. Currently, I'm using a Cinelli Solida Magnum with a 31.8mm clamp width but I'm not sure which size I need. It appears that most clip on aero bars comes in either 26.0 or 31.8 mm. I understand that there are other sizes available but these two sizes are the most common. Actually, some don't even have size specified...I'm guessing that for these clip on bars, clamping width is not a factor.
The Cinelli Solida Magnum does have 31.8 mm width but unlike other handlebars, it narrows down just after the center clamping area (instead of being a constant 31.8 mm). So, I'm not sure whether I need to get 26.0 or 31.8 mm bars.
For example, Visiontech Carbon & TT Clip on bars are available in both sizes. Which one is right for me?
Could somebody shed some light on this since I'm a bit confused? Has anyone used an clip on aero bar on this handlebar?
