Hi,
I've just bought an ex demo Trek 5500 and the ahead set has stiffened up after doing only 10 miles.
It's grief to return the bike - should I just adjust it or could there be trouble ahead...
Thanks for any advice.

Have you adjusted it yet? or taken it apart? stiffening up would probably just be that things are
cranked down too tight, unless something catastrophic has happened inside to the bearings or races
(unlikely unless it's been crashed out). If you got it from a shop they should be fine with you
bringing it back for a quick adjustment, there's not much to fixing them really...

My advice is to post to the appropriate newsgroup like r.b.t, not this one.
