    As some of you may know, I had an Airborne Zepplinn. While I was
    cleaning it after a ride I noticed a crack across the weld were the
    top tube meets the seat tube.

    I'm pleased to say that I'm now the pround owner of a new Zepplinn
    frame thanks to Airbourne's warrenty. Given that I'd lost all the docs
    this took a little longer then it should have done but I can't blame
    them for that. This time I've kept the recipt and sent of the warrenty
    card 🙂

    So, it's nice. They've changed quite a bit in the four years since I got
    mine. Mine was number 0005xx, and I think they've sold a lot more since then.

    Changes:

    1 1/8" headset: meant I got an excuse to get a very nice light new fork (plus),
    meant I had to pay for said fork (bad)

    Nice laser cut logo on the headtube instead of nasty badge stuck on with tape

    New dropouts and shaping on the chainstays

    It's now more polished, so more shiney. Looks nice.

    Even better, it's given me that "new bike, new bike" feeling without my
    actually having to justify replacing a very nice frame with a new one that
    wouldn't have been any better. Sorted.

    I'm just praying that it doesn't get cold enough for the gritters to be out
    tonight so that I can actually ride it over the weekend before I put it away
    for the winter!

    Nice outcome Art! I'm still commuting on my road bike and not looking
    forward to the day when it has to be laid up for winter and the hybrid
    wheeled out. You said you did so in November, so it can't be far off.

    I remain unconvinced that *dry* salt and cow [censored] causes any harm worth
    bothering about. There will be the odd dry period throughout the winter.
