I am looking at an Alan Ultral or X-33 cross frame. Typical duty will not be racing , but mostly 25-40 miles on a mix of pavement and dirt roads. It will alos sub for my road bike on damp days. I have had one comment that the Ultral is very stiff and that the X-33 may be more comfortable.
Any comments appreciated. I am also wondering whether Alan does bosses for one or two bottles. I have heard it both ways.
