Hey folks, I have a 2011 roubaix comp with full 105 (which is nice but heavy). I am debating between getting a Tarmac sl2 with apex components which will weigh less than my roubaix or an allez evo with carbon crank and rival. The allez weighs in at 18.0 lbs while the Tarmac is around 18.2 I believe. That being said, the prices are very close but would I be stupid for buying the allez even thigh it's lighter and has much better components (better wheels, carbon os crank, rival etc)? Or would buying the Tarmac and upgrading be better in long run wince the allez is almost maxed out?
