    Almond Paste

    from Dallas, Texas

    1-1/2 cup whole blanched almonds
    1 teaspoon almond extract
    1-1/2 cup powdered sugar sifted
    1/4-teaspoon salt
    1 egg white

    Grind almonds a portion at a time in electric blender or food
    chopper using fine blade. Combine with remaining ingredients and
    work to a stiff paste. Store in airtight container.
