Hi, in the spring of the next year I want to visit Spain and to take part in pair of amateur races, but can't found any information about it. Whether there is any site about all amateur races carried out in Spain? Thanks.

What do you want to say with amateur races?... It´s like master30, master40 races or something like that, or it´s something like Quebrantahuesos, Lagos de Covadonga,... cyclotourist races.

If you are looking for the second kind of races, you can look the www.altimetrias.com website. There you have the information about the most popular amateur races, and also the dates and profiles info. (look in the left side, Marchas Cicloturistas 2012).

http://www.altimetrias.net/marchas/marchas.asp

You say that you are going to stay in Spain, but Spain is so big to go from Andalucia to the north (Asturias, for example) in one day and go back.

Give me some more information, and of course, sorry because my english is terrible. I´m really apologized about it :(

P.S.: For me, the most beautifull cyclo race is Irati Xtrem. Is not a competitive race (only you can check your time in the Port of Larrau), but it has everything to enjoy over the bike. Terrific "cols", agressive descents and a very good atmosphere.

can you guys post some links to calendars of races in Spain or any sites that aggregate such information?

it was a long time ago and information could be easier to access knowadays but the best plan would be to organise first a place where to stay with good training roads and get into the racing circuit schedule with the help of local riders and local bike shops, yes spain is a big country and you might not be near several of these races as you would in Belgium for example,

I would have assumed that there must be an provincial/national body which organises races?

I expect that the OP would have to obtain a Spanish cycling licence to race?

This is the Spanish Cycling Federation contact list

you need your local UCI approved license and then approach your local cycling federation for further instructions,
