Americans conclude masters road worlds with 10 medals

U.S. riders concluded the 2007 UCI Master Road World Championships over the weekend as Dirk Pohlman and Francois Mertens added to the U.S. medal count, bringing the total for the American contingent to ten. Pohlman captured the silver medal in the men's 40-44 road race, while Mertens won the bronze medal in the men's 75+ road race. The U.S. squad concluded the world championships with one gold, six silver and three bronze medals, including the world title won by Mike Olheiser in the men's 30-39 time trial on Wednesday.
