David Millar's file from the 3 days of De Panne time trial:

David Millar - 3 Days of De Panne, Time Trial by garmin-transitions at Garmin Connect - Details

You can actually download the whole file and compute the MMP curve:

[Corrected these thanks to Jer0me. Garmin connect must be buggy.]
5 secs 1029 watts
10 secs 882 watts
30 secs 651 watts
1 min 572 watts
5 mins 494 watts
10 mins 463 watts

Pavg=455w (for 18:48)
Pnorm=469w
Avg speed=29.1mph

This suggests that his FTP is somewhere around 420-440w [corrected].

hi,
the 5mn power @669w looked suspicious to me...
I downloaded the file
in wko and the values seem a little bit more human (if i may say so ;-)

Thanks! I was thinking of doing the same thing but I'm at work so couldn't do it until later. Those 1m and 5m numbers were really fishy, but it's also surprising that the avg power from Garmin connect was so far off.

I corrected the numbers in the top post. It's still very impressive, but much more reasonable looking. I was thinking the guy was getting ready to win the Tour or something.

Wow!
Definitely more confirmation that I'm a sprinter and not a TTist. My power numbers fall off a cliff after 30s....
That 5min - and especially that 10min - average power number makes my legs, heart, and lungs hurt just thinking about it...

Okay, I must confess - I won't be contending for the prologue title at any GT in the near future:D...

If that's the case, numbers from a Tour prologue would likely give you cardiac arrest and make your legs fall off...

If that's the case, just the ride to the starting line would have the priest reading you your last rites...

Damn, you're worse than the Energizer Bunny with COPD:D...

There'll be no priest reading me any last rights... I'm about 30 years too old for them to be interested in doing anything with me.

Best I've managed for a prologue like effort (5 mins) within the past 12 months is 405watts, only about 130 to 170 watts shy of a world class effort. LOL

I couldn't care any less abour your alleged power numbers - I'm still waiting for you to post that pic of you getting down into your drops...:D

I'll post sometime this year - which will still be before you actually get a podium finish. ;) Actually, you can go get farked on that one. Why you want to see me bent over in lyrca is actually quite disturbing.
