Another Cyclist Killer & Charity Auction

Hi All. I usually don't do this, but I wanted to make everyone aware of a sad situation. Last week, Allan Butler, a local Cat 1 pro from here in SLC, was killed when he was hit by a Taxi at interbike in Vegas. Here's the story (bottom of the page).

Allan left behind a Wife and young daughter. When coming up through the ranks, Allan rode and raced with/against many now well know pros like Dave Zabriskie and Levi Lepiheimer. In an effort to raise money for his family, several of Allan friend have donated signed jerseys. These are now up for auction on Ebay. Of note, there is a team CSC jersey that's signed by Ivan Basso and Dave Zabriskie along with a gerolsteiner Jersey signed by Levi Leipheimer. Please know that all of the proceeds from these auctions will go to Allan's family. I'm am in no way affiliated with the auction other than knowing the story. It's hit the cycling community here pretty hard. There's a memorial ride (up emigration canyon) in the AM (10/7/2005).
