I am looking to get a new mtn bike. My 1996 Kona Cindercone with rigid front fork is ready for retirement. I am looking at the 2004 Rockhopper Comp (w V Brakes) or possibly the same bike with shimano 515 mechanical discs.
Any opinions on this bike?
It is pretty dry where I ride so I am considering staying with v brakes to save weight and cost.
Any opinions on the Axel Elite fork?
I ride a 2004 Rockhopper Comp, and think it is an excellent bike. The only complaint on the fork is it is a little on the soft side for my weight (210lbs).
