Many years ago this was a TV show. I don't remember anything about it but
the story.
A famous chef committed a crime and was sent to prison where he, obviously ,
became head cook. From then on the prison food became Haute Cuisine, to
the joy of the prisoners, including Mafia guys. the chef had taken prison
ingredients and made culinary magic with them. Then the inevitable day came
when the
chef was paroled. The prison cuisine once again became SOS three times a
week
..
The Mafia guys were not pleased.
So they set up a scheme through their contacts on the outside:
The paroled chef had taken a job in a five-star restaurant and was once
again the most famous chef. He cooked for Kings and Presidents; recipes no
one else would dare attempt, and few could afford.
One night a nattily dressed customer entered the restaurant and ordered the
chef's Piece de Resistance, the Holy Grail of Haute Cuisine. The chef was so
excited he closed the restaurant and sent home the kitchen and wait-staff so
he could devote the whole night to the preparation of the dish. The chef
himself served each course as he cooked it leading up to, at midnight, with
accompaniment of the chef's hand-picked music, the presentation of his
masterpiece.
Then the chef stood back with a look of pride while the diner prepared his
napkin, then inhaled the aroma of the food, looking absolutely enchanted.
Then the diner reached into his coat and took out a squeeze-bottle of Heinz
Catsup and proceeded to squirt catsup all over the food.
The chef went off! He began strangling the diner. Immediately some cops (who
purely by "coincidence" were on duty just outside the front door) entered
and arrested him for assault and hauled him off to city jail. By the next
week the chef had been remanded back to prison to serve his entire sentence
for violating his parole, and the prison population was happy again.
Hey, it could happen.
