We did last year, used some of the hotels in this article, but ither
different.

used easyjet from liverpool to Krakow, with the bikes, got the
overnight sleeper to Budapest(Had to slip the conductor a £ 10 as he
insisted the bikes could'nt go on this train, but others had them!)
spent 3 nights in Budapest cycling around(did the baths etc), and then
cycled back to Krakow, similar schedule to article-beautiful views
etc. Last day was a lon one from border to krakow. if you want more

Not riden Budapest to krakow but about 10 years ago rode on a CTC tour
of the Tatra starting an finishing in Krakow. It was a very good tour
items that stick in my memory are the frozen lake at Morski oko (sp?)
- no cars allowed up the access road - a religious festival in Helpa,
horse drawn cart with an old easy chair as a seat, bank staff in a
small town bank dealing with an eurocheque, 12 mile climb up a pass to
above the snowline in May etc. etc.
