I've often wondered how this is supposed to work. When I come across dogs it is always one of two scenarios. Either I can outrun the dog without the risk of having it run under my front wheel, causing me to crash. Or it looks like the dog could crash me and I have to stop. In the first scenario I cannot imagine fumbling around with a water bottle and allowing the dog to get close enough to run under my wheels. In the second scenario it seems pointless to spray the dog after you have stopped.BanditBoyDavid said:I get chased by dogs all the time, and the best way to get rid of them is to spray them with whatever is in your waterbottle (gatorade really stings their eyes) .
