Anyone have accommodation in Pau for the start of the Etape 2010?

Hi all,

I am in a bind in that I have an entry to the Etape, but it now turns out that it would be very inconvenient for my wife to drive me from our accommodations in Ciboure (near Biarritz) to the start that same morning -- we will have just driven 8 hours or whatever from Bedoin the day before.

All hotels in Pau are filled up unfortunately.

Does anyone have an extra hotel room booked that they now don't need? Or some other idea for me? I will only need accommodation for myself (and my bike).

I am sorry if this sounds weird. Just in quite a bind.

We just cancelled two rooms at Le Peyret yesterday. It is located about 8km from Pau. I stayed here 2 years ago. Lovely place with outdoor pool. Not doing Etape this year myself.

Hope you get better weather than we did. Good Luck.

I have made contact with Le Peyrat and will see how that goes. The lady there says that your reservation is still there and that it has merely not been confirmed yet. I told her that you cancelled it so we will see how that goes.
