applying labels to newly painted frame

Thanks all who replied to my 'tips on painting frame' post. The
Guerciotti is now painted a glossy orange. Next I'd like to paint the
cutouts in the lugs a contrast color and apply 'vintage' Guerciotti and
Columbus labels.

Any tips on how to apply labels?

Any suggestions regarding the kind of paint that would be appropriate
for the small pantographs and cutouts in a fine Italian frame? How does
one apply this paint?

As for decals, I have applied some heat transfer NOS decals. I left
the frame near a radiator for a long time to get it nice and toasty.
Not hot, just warm. I maked out some light guidelines on the frame
with a pencil, and taped the transfers where they should go. I then
used a hair dryer to heat up the decals and used the plastic end of
the hairdryer to rub he backing paper, while also holding the paper in
place and rubbing it gently with my hands. It was hot work, but
patience paid off. Rushing things would be a big mistake. I imagine
water transfers would be easier. The Columbus decal is probably water
transfer, the others depends.

For paint I'd go to a hobby store and get the best tiny natural brush
they have, as well as paint. But maybe somebody who acually knows what
they are talking about has a better suggestion.

You will of course post a link to pics when you are done, right?
