Rolfrae said:The TDF this year was a different beast to the Tours of the Armstrong eras and despite what others on this forum said about it being boring I thought it genuinely exciting (once Ricco and Saunier left).
I'm not so sure the Euro fans would be standing at the roadside cheering his return. Europe quickly got over Lance, breathed a sigh of relief when he retired. The response would be more excited in the US which hasn't quite got over losing him.
Like WBT, I'd also like to see LA comeback to watch him get beaten to a classics sprint by Sylvain Chavanel, or get his **** kicked on a climb by the likes of Vandevelde.
Viewing figures in the US might be down but the Tour will survive even if no one in America watches it.limerickman said:if you were believe some.............there was no one watching the 2008 TDF!

Glad to see ya. I thought I might have farked you off the last time you were here. That wasn't my intent. I actually think you have a brain.ad9898 said:He's riding for Astana

The bad news is the posting volume has gone down significantly. The good news is that it is mostly due to cranky not posting much anymore....
