Yep. He's a hyper-competitive individual with a high pain tolerance and
off-the-chart genetic gifts. You could pump all the EPO in the world into
another cyclist and not create a Lance.

He's done with chemotherapy. Do you think he takes an anti-cancer vaccine,
or something? Your troll attempts are pathetic.

So what's the story? That Armstrong takes drugs? I'd be astonished

  4. : I don't know why people have to just believe that he is totally clean.
    :
Here's the difference: he is innocent until proven guilty. It's that simple.
Your view is that everyone is guilty--and it would be moronic to think
    otherwise.

What we of the "prove it or shut up" group think is this: we don't know why
people have to just believe that he is totally drugged---without one
scintilla of proof. Bring us proof.

He doesn't have to reveal anything to you. He has done so to the proper
authorities and they are satisfied. He owes you nothing. He is not taking
any anti-cancer drugs. You would know that if you would get a copy of his
    books and read---not just speculate.

(Nice relapse re. English language, BTW.)

Again, he's given permission to authorities to KEEP HIS SAMPLES
indefinitely. When better testing methods are developed, they can try again
    and again to find something.

Sure doesn't SOUND like a cheater to me. (Compare his plain-spoken denials

Ironically, of everyone in the peloton he's the one with the least need of
drugs. Lance can build his entire life around the TdF and enough racing to make
himself ready for it and a couple of post-Tour Crits to cash in on it. IOW he
    races maybe 40 days a year. The rest of'em are racing 100 - 130 days a year.

Lance doesn't need the HGH and EPO to recover, he has the luxury of showing up
    fresh.

This is a toughie. Turd density drugs aside. Looking at the recent
balco scandal... That's a tough one. Look at recent findings in gene
therapy. More tough ones. The honest truth I believe is that is is
very possible for him to be on something that people just don't know
about now and test for. Yes he is the most tested athlete on the
planet. What does that really mean? He is NOT failing tests for the
drugs we know about. It doesn't mean that he isn't taking something
that we DON"T know about however.

How do we know you're not a pedophile? There are lots of 'em out
there that we don't know about, after all. Why should we give you the
benefit of the doubt instead of just assuming you ARE a pedophile?
Better to just let it be known that you are a pedophile since you
spend a lot of time on the computer (since other computer users have
    been found to be pedophiles).

Hope that puts your "logic" in perspective.

I didn't intend to single out Lance. The story came up because he sued a
former assistant Friday for defamation after the assistant claimed to have
found a box labeled androstenin in Armstrong's bathroom.

It simply struck me a little like accusing a golfer of using EPO or a
tennis playing of using heroin. Not impossible, but somehow not what you
would expect from someone trying to use drugs to win. Setting aside
legality and morality, it seems like an unsophisticated approach to
performance enhancement for an athlete who makes his living, in part, from
being light. Part of the whole Armstrong cancer story is supposedly that
the disease had the side effect of letting a triathlete's overdeveloped
upper body waste away, allowing him to rebuild along road cycling lines.

  10. Hickey- That's got to be one of the dumbest things I've ever seen on
this site. Heck, you and your 595$ ti frame post waay more than me.
You must be TWICE the pedophile I am.. what a dumbass.

I'm not singling out armstrong, as the last writer politely noted. I
am reminding people that he is whipping the [censored] out of elite ahtletes
that do dope. Unless of course you are all dumb enough to believe that
a pidgeon flying by dropped an EPO turd in the eye of camenzind, and
that made the test. Or that Tyler ate some really really rare beef and
that blew his test. Or that Museeuw was eating wasps cause the
stingers keep him regular. Or that Vandenbroucke's dog desperately
needed EPO. Or that Jeanson has a naturally high hematocrit of 56 and
hasn't won anything since her sanction. Or that Richard Virenque
really didn't do it. Or that Raimondus' mother in law really really
needs EPO and HGH to mow the lawn in Uzbekistan or wherever the hell
he's from. Or that Tammy Thomas chopped up bull testicles for dinner
and that made her (his?) test. Or that Garzelli's positive was the
    result of a contaminated twinkie.

C'mon people. No one (well almost No one) is going to jump up and
say, "Yup, I doped. that's me. done". Denial is current code.
Decanio in his own bizzare sick demeneted way are at least trying. As
someone that has had a lot of exposure to both doping controls, drug
tests, and banned lists, as an athlete, promoter, and lab worker, there
are ways to cheat. Tests are not perfect, they are simply the best
available science we have now. While I don't have proof of anything,
any reasonably intelligent person has to look at the recent BALCO
scandals and at least have doubts. Couple that with allegations,
performances, etc, and you should have more. There's a lot of money at
stake here, and money makes people do crazy things.

Maybe someday the truth will come out. True, it will likely be the day
after we figure out who reall shot Kennedy, but someday perhaps it
will. Till then, I have doubts, and I'm not afraid to say it. As an
educated person, I am entitled to my ideas. At least I'm not a lemming
believing every crumb of information passed down to him by others.

Hey, we already know. It was Elvis Presley taken through a timewarp
by alien abductors in the pay of the CIA and KGB. The backup shooter
on the grassy knoll was Lord Lucan.

The ability of conspiracy theories to survive alternative rational and
prosaic explanations is a source of constant amusement to me :-)

From everything I've read he also trains harder then any other cyclist
out there. Combine that with a lot of natural abilty and it's not
surprising he wins. Plus, he's always focused almost entirely on the TdF.
