Iv'e been reading his book called Smart Cycling. Any thoughts or comments on it? Seems like he has some pretty sound theories.

Haven't seen that book, but checked out the handouts and the free downloads at his website. The "maltodextrin", "ACE" and "HIT" tips look like good info to me, and free of commercial hype for products or his "unique" training system.

May order one of the online books...ACE looks useful for me.

just went through it and found that it was a good read and learned quite a bit from it. made me want to start racing, even though i bought it for the training portion.

i'm basically a cycling newbie, so i can't fully evaluate this book, but i just started the trainer program (while the snow's on the ground... i know some of you guys cycle in god-awful weather, but i'd like to avoid my nose freezing off). i've seen some mojor improvements in about 4 weeks of the 12-week program. improved spin, less fatigue, more enjoyment and less pain. i'd recommend it.

i don't know about the upcomming season, but i may try to get into racing next.
