steve, please stop making yourself look like an idiot. Youve already done a very good job of it. It would be best if you just shut up now, seriously. Youve dodged and twisted the argument, didnt respond to simple questions, and continued to attack people when they proved you wrong. I sure hope you dont have kids, we dont need you polluting the gene pool:rolleyes:

Are you sure you're not just a little angry?

Those smiles look awfully forced. ;)

You seem like a reasonable guy. You asked, and I responded with where you directly quoted a post on bullets fired straight up. Im not angry, Im right. Now, stevebaby on the other hand, isnt as reasonable as you.

The basis of wobbie's "argument" is that a bullet fired straight up will not have enough force to kill.I note that this has changed from..a bullet fired in the air cannot kill,and...a bullet fired at +/- 20 degrees from vertical cannot kill.
His "argument" is that a bullet fired straight up cannot kill.He has failed to demonstrate how to fire a bullet exactly perpendicular to the earth..i.e. straight up.
The us army conducted this experiment. They fired 500 bullets in the air from an approximately perpendicular position, from a raft in the middle of a lake.Note, the roof over the raft was armoured for the protection of the experimenters.
Only 4 of those 500 bullets even hit the armoured roof of the raft. The rest followed a ballistic trajectory and landed at varying distances from the raft.

So..again,how do you fire a bullet exactly perpendicular to the earth (keeping in mind that your whole "argument" depends on the answer?)
And how do you explain the many confirmed reports of people being killed by falling bullets?
    Answer that,caca.

And your point steve? The wind, and gravity acted on the bullets and pushed them off course, not on a ballistic trajectory. Whoops, proved yourself wrong there didnt you? Shot yourself in the foot so to speak?

And steve, if youre going to quote something the US Army did, it usually helps if it supports your argument, not Rob's. Here is the entire story, not just what steve edited out because thats what he wanted you to hear:

Base first is hardly ballistic trajectory steve. You might want to think twice before you hit reply, and make yourself look like an idiot even more than you already have.

There actually is a little divergence from that story these days. Considering it was done in the 20's. Most ballistics experts would agree now that it takes about 100 ft/lbs of energy for a small caliber bullet, and 150 or more for a larger caliber bullet.

"One of the bullets...struck base first..."...out of 500.
As I previously stated,it is impossible to fire a bullet exactly perpendicular,as even a tiny deviation in angle,or a slight gust of wind will mean that the bullet will not travel in a straight line.As wobbies argument is based on a bullet travelling straight upwards, you are now in disagreement with him!
