Is this the beginning of the end for Atkins Nutritionals? It seems the UK
company has not met its sales forecasts so has applied to the courts for an
administrator to be appointed. This is usually a preliminary to closure as
administrators rarely manage to rescue a failing company. All they do is
collect debts and pay bills as far as possible, mostly leaving suppliers and
customers out of pocket.
