I am a 16 year old road cyclist. I am going to be racing come this spring with a team. I am at the time where I need to decide over a helmet. I am just wondering what you all think about the Atmos or Pneumo? Is the Atmos worth the expense? Is the Pneumo just as good?

I have a Pneumo, the Atmos never seemed to fit me right!
Save the dollars and get the Pneumo, spend the diff on a present for your mother 😉
If you search the forums, most peoples take, is that there is very little difference betwen the most expensive and the mid priced hats as far as protection is concerned.

I agree with DesFlurane. I have the Pneumo and it's great. The 2005 Pneumo's are pretty cheap now if you can find one. If you're planning on racing, spend the difference on some new tyres...?
I guess it depends on yer needs. I went from Pnemo to Atmos and noticed the extra air flow.....but I live in Tucson. The difference between the two might not be so noticeable in places w/ more mild temps. With that said, the difference is small at that. You can't lose either way.
Get the one that fits your noggin the best.
I have an Atmos, and it's the best skid bucket I've ever owned without question. It fits my lumpy crainium prefectly, and the ventilation is awesome.
